Emma Thomson

After gaining a BA in English and Anthropology from Oxford Brookes University, Emma Thomson jumped straight into the world of travel publishing.

She now works full-time as an Editorial Project Manager for Bradt Travel Guides and in her spare time dabbles in freelance travel writing and photography.
She is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

She originally attended one of Aang Serian’s summer schools and, wanting to be involved in the ongoing good work, volunteered as a trustee of Serian UK and has been a member since 2005.

She now looks after press-related promotions or enquiries, and returns to Tanzania whenever she can.
